In 2012, the annual output reached 200 billion RMB. And it is continuing growing by 5% per annum. It is forecasted that this market value would grow by 10% yearly until 2014. Guided by China Government’s “12th Five-Year Plan”, SDFA tried many times to discuss the modification of GSP and other two new cold chain application regulation are then issued in the end of 2012. Recently, Ministry of Health issued the New GSP, and it will be put into implementation in June 1st, 2013. The improvement of Pharmaceutical Cold Chain is one of the main content. It is clear that great attention and actions have already been given by the Chinese government. It is highly believed that with the improvements in the regulations application, advanced technology, cost-effective management and other developing strategy, the so-called “scattered, small, chaotic, weak” cold chain market will be re-shuffled and the pharmaceutical cold chain in China will become more mature. During this period, many challenges must come up, but more opportunities will also appear at the same time.
